This week, I have an assignment on Psychology. The assignment is to make a short story about a junior high school student whom I give a task to do a test that I have already made. The story also tells about the student’s reaction to the given test, whether there are any difficulties. At the beginning, I am confused to start the story. But then I can find out an idea for the short story.
It was Monday, I went to Ayu’s house. Ayu is a junior high school student. She studies at SMP Negeri 1 and now she is sitting in grade 2. She is a smart and an active student. She also has a big curiosity. She always asks about anything that she has not understood.
Then I gave her a test that I have already made. I gave her 60 minutes to do the test. In the given time, she only could answer 5 out of 10 questions. Then I gave her another 60 minutes to answer the other five questions.
After 30 minutes, she said that she was not able to do the test, however she has answered 2 other questions. She said that she could not understand the material of the questions. That’s why she could not continue in finishing the given test. Then I asked her which one that she has not understood. I explained the material that she has not understood as far as I could so that she could understand well. After she understood my explanation, I gave her 30 minutes to continue in answering the three questions left.
After 30 minutes, she still could not answer the last 3 questions because of the time limitation. Then I gave her time to answer the last three question without any time limitation so that I could also find out how long it took for her to answer the questions. Finally, she was able to finish the test in 15 minutes. She was relieved because she could finish the given test. Although it took a long time for her to finish the test, she did not give up.
Then I checked the result of the test and I found out that she was able to answer 7 questions correctly. While for the other 3 questions, she was only less careful in answering the questions.
In my opinion, she is a smart student because she could do the test. Although in doing the test she was less careful and needed a long time. However, she is a student which is very enthusiastic.
